Approve and comment straight from your email

How approval emails work: the daily digest of what's waiting, and reviewing in a secure portal where approvers sign in to approve or request changes (with a comment).

Two kinds of approval email

BrandOps9 keeps approvals moving over email so nothing stalls in a queue someone forgot to open.

  • The daily approval digest: sent to you (and anyone with the Content approver role) when posts or documents are waiting, so you always know there's something to review.
  • Review requests: when you send specific content to a client or teammate for sign-off, they get an email with the items and a link to the secure review portal.

Approve or request changes in the review portal

The review email links to a secure review portal. You can open it and see the content straight away, but to approve or request changes you sign in (or create an account in seconds) with the email the review was sent to. This keeps approval secure: even if the email is forwarded, only someone who can sign in as the intended reviewer (or a brand approver) can act, so nobody can approve on your behalf. Approving signs the item off (a client's approval is final); requesting changes flags it to come back for a revision.

Add a comment with your decision

Decisions are more useful with context. When a reviewer requests changes (or wants to leave a note on an approval), they can add a comment: what to change, or why it's good to go. Those comments and verdicts flow straight back into your workspace, attached to the item, so you can act on them without chasing anyone for feedback.

Control who gets them

Manage your own approval emails in Notifications: keep the daily digest on, or turn it off if a dedicated Content approver handles sign-off (you can't turn off your own approval emails while you're the only person who can approve). Send review requests any time from the content you want signed off; see “Share with clients: the review portal” for the full review experience the email links into.
